You are bidding on a one of a kind #1 Norfolk Tides Cancer Survivorship game worn jersey. This jersey was autographed by * after the game on Sunday, September 20th, 2026. Jersey Size 44. Proceeds from the Norfolk Cancer Survivorship Jersey Auction will benefit the Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters. These jerseys were designed by CHKD patient Tucker Davis. Tucker and his jersey story are below: In 2019, Tucker Davis was recovering in the intensive care unit at CHKD after neurosurgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his brain. No one could have told him or his family that seven years later, Tucker would be throwing out the first pitch at the May 8, 2026 Tides game before an audience packed with thousands of CHKD team members and their families celebrating the hospitalâs 65th birthday. The May 8, 2026, game carried additional significance for Tucker and CHKD: every Tides player took the field in a custom jersey he designed earlier this year as the winner of a CHKD patient contest. Then a Virginia Beach sixth grader, he learned he was the winner during a surprise jersey reveal by Tides staff, including mascots Rip Tide and Triton, at Harbor Park. Tuckerâs design captures the heart of the contestâs theme: courage, kindness, and the CHKD spirit. Inspired by his favorite ballpark treat, he drew three layers of ice cream on a waffle cone in Tides colors. On the back, he added a hand-drawn pediatric cancer awareness yellow ribbon alongside CHKD blocks, reflecting his personal connection to the hospital. Out of 25 submissions, Tuckerâs design was selected as the winner. Tucker, 12, threw out the first pitch in his jersey on Friday, May 8, 2026 as the Tides took on the Gwinnett Stripers. The Tides wore the jerseys again during on Sunday, September 20, 2026 as they celebrated CHKD Survivor Day and Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
